Introducing the Aetherial Performance Logger

At The Calimafde LLC, we are excited to introduce the Aetherial Performance Logger—our next-generation performance analysis platform designed to help us build faster, smarter, and more refined calibrations.

Unlike traditional logging software that focuses solely on engine parameters, the Aetherial Performance Logger combines J2534 vehicle data logging with a 10 Hz GPS satellite receiver to measure both vehicle performance and engine output simultaneously.

What Does It Measure?

The Aetherial Performance Logger records a wide range of real-world performance metrics, including:

• Horsepower
• Torque
• 0–60 MPH
• 60-foot times
• 1/8-mile elapsed time and speed
• 1/4-mile elapsed time and speed
• 60–130 MPH acceleration
• Additional acceleration and performance metrics

By combining engine data with highly accurate GPS performance measurements, we can visualize exactly how a vehicle performs throughout an acceleration run.

Beyond Peak Horsepower

Making more horsepower doesn’t always make a car faster.

One of the greatest advantages of the Aetherial Performance Logger is that it allows us to optimize a calibration for real-world acceleration, not just impressive dyno graphs.

For example, a rear-wheel-drive vehicle may produce enough low-RPM torque to overwhelm the tires during launch. While this may create a higher peak torque figure, it can actually slow the vehicle down due to wheelspin.

With detailed performance logging, we can identify these situations and intentionally reduce torque in specific RPM ranges. The result can be:

• Faster 0–60 MPH times
• Improved 60-foot launches
• Better quarter-mile performance
• More consistent acceleration
• Reduced stress on the engine and drivetrain

Instead of simply chasing the highest dyno number, we tune for the quickest and most repeatable real-world performance.

The Aetherial Performance Logger will come pre-installed on the computers included with premium tuning packages from TunedMercedes.com.

Customers purchasing tuning packages through TheDriversMark.com will also have the option to add the software as an upgrade, allowing more enthusiasts to benefit from advanced performance analysis and custom calibration refinement.

The Future

This is only the beginning.

Future updates are planned to include additional graphing capabilities, expanded data visualization, enhanced reporting, and new performance analysis tools.
