Mercedes GLE, GLS, ML & GL Upgrades

Mercedes’ big-body SUVs deliver luxury, presence, and serious AMG power.
Whether you drive a GLE63, GLS63, ML550, or GL63, this section lets you shop performance upgrades tailored to these platforms.

About These Platforms

The ML was Mercedes’ first luxury SUV in the late 1990s, later evolving into the GLE.
Similarly, the larger GL became today’s GLS. In AMG form, these SUVs combine full-size practicality with track-level performance.

  • ML-Class (W164, W166): Early AMG SUVs including the ML63 with naturally aspirated and twin-turbo V8s.
  • GLE-Class (W166, W167): Successor to the ML; AMG GLE63 powered by the M157 and later M177 twin-turbo V8s.
  • GL-Class (X164, X166): Large SUV predecessor to the GLS, offering AMG V8 and V12 options.
  • GLS-Class (X166, X167): The current full-size SUV flagship with AMG GLE63/GLS63 twin-turbo V8 power.

Why Upgrade?

  • Power & Torque: ECU and turbo upgrades unlock huge gains from the M157/M177 twin-turbo V8s.
  • Cooling: Larger SUVs create heat — cooling upgrades keep performance consistent.
  • Braking: Heavy mass requires serious brake hardware for safe high-speed performance.
  • Presence: Exhaust, aero, and wheels complete the AMG look and sound.
