Mercedes AMG Fueling Upgrades

More boost and more ethanol demand more fuel.
This section covers high-pressure fuel pumps, injectors, and supporting hardware designed to keep your AMG running safely when chasing higher horsepower.

When Do You Need Fueling Upgrades?

  • Big Turbos: Higher airflow requires more fuel volume and pressure to keep up.
  • Ethanol Blends: E85 needs ~30% more volume than pump gas; most stock systems max out around E40–E45 before leaning out.
  • Higher Boost: Running aggressive tunes on stock fueling risks lean conditions without support.

Bottom line: If you’re targeting big power or full E85, fueling upgrades are essential.

What’s Available Here

  • High-Pressure Fuel Pumps (HPFP): Higher capacity, ethanol-compatible pumps to maintain rail pressure under load.
  • Injectors: Higher-flow injectors to deliver the volume required by ethanol or big turbo setups.
  • Fuel Lines & Accessories: Supporting hardware to keep the system stable at higher demand levels.

Important Notes

  • Tuning Required: Almost all fueling changes require ECU recalibration to scale correctly.
  • Blending Ethanol: Verify actual content with a sensor—“pump E85” often tests anywhere from E60 to E80.
  • Supporting Mods: Combine fueling with upgraded cooling, boost, and tuning for a balanced build.
