Pre-Tune Checklist

What you’ll need

• Windows laptop with administrator access (sleep disabled)
• Stable internet at the vehicle (Wi-Fi or strong hotspot)
• Working OBD-II port (no pins loose/bent)
• Recommended interface/cable from us (don’t swap adapters without telling us)
• Smart battery charger/maintainer (target ~13.0–14.0V during writes)

Vehicle prep (30 minutes before)

• Battery charged; no low-voltage warnings
• Lights OFF, HVAC OFF, radio OFF; seat/mirror memory set
• Doors closed, trunk latched, hood open only if using charger
• No active faults/misfires; clear stray codes
• Disable auto start/stop

Low voltage can corrupt writes or damage modules. Keep voltage healthy throughout.

Remote session setup

1. Install the remote software we specify (e.g., AnyDesk/TeamViewer).
2. Run it as Administrator.
3. Share your ID and one-time code with the calibrator.
4. Keep the laptop awake; disable sleep/screensaver/updates for the session.

We’ll confirm exact software and steps before your appointment.

During the tune

• Keep charger connected and engine OFF unless asked
• Don’t touch pedals, buttons, or open doors unless asked
• Keep the laptop and cable undisturbed; no other apps
• Have good cell/voice contact with the calibrator

Do not

• Do not use unapproved OBD dongles/adapters without telling us first
• Do not move the vehicle mid-write
• Do not let the laptop sleep or run updates/restarts

If something interrupts the write

1. Stay calm—keep ignition ON and charger connected.
2. Do not unplug the cable or power-cycle unless instructed.
3. Contact your calibrator immediately for recovery steps.

Send this before we start

• VIN, year/model, engine (e.g., M177), platform (e.g., W205)
• Fuel you’ll run (91/93/E-mix) and current mods (intake, downpipes, cooling)
• Remote software ID/code and preferred contact number
