MAP Sensor Extender — Plug-and-Play (Mercedes 3-pin)
Heat-Rated Harness
Signal-Safe (Twisted Pair)
Single or Pair (Bi-Turbo)
What It Does
- Extends the factory 3-pin MAP sensor connection for custom intake routing or sensor relocation.
- Keeps OEM harness intact: no cutting, no splicing, easy revert to stock.
- Maintains clean, low-noise signal for accurate load/boost readings.
Specs
- Connectors: OE-style 3-pin MAP plug + mating socket (verify shape with product photos).
- Wiring: 20–22 AWG automotive-grade, abrasion-resistant loom, strain-relief boots.
- Temp rating: harness/loom rated to +155 °C continuous; radiant heat sleeve optional.
- Configuration: Single (one bank) or Pair (bi-turbo platforms).
Compatibility
- Designed for Mercedes turbo platforms using the common 3-pin MAP style (e.g., M157, M278, M177, M276).
- Popular examples: E/CLS/S/GL/ML/GLS lines from ~2010–2019. Have a VIN? We’ll confirm before shipping.
Note: Some models use different keying or clip orientation—match to the photos on this page.
Install (5–10 minutes)
- Key OFF and cool engine bay.
- Unclip factory MAP connector from sensor.
- Plug our extender between harness and sensor (clicks on both ends).
- Route away from hot turbine/headers; secure with provided zip-ties.
- Start vehicle, verify no MIL; log MAP to confirm steady readings.
Tip: Avoid tightly coiling excess cable near ignition coils. Keep at least 2–3 cm from high-current lines.
Pinout & Signal Integrity
- Typical MAP pins: 5 V ref • Signal • Sensor ground. Orientation can vary by sensor body—always confirm by service data or connector key.
- OEM fitment, but longer.
- Electrical spec: voltage drop < 50 mV across extender at MAP sensor current, measured at 25 °C.
Why This Over Splicing?
- Reversible: return to stock in seconds.
- Signal health: correct wire gauge, twist, and boots help prevent erratic MAP readings and phantom codes.
- Time saver: build intakes faster; no solder sleeves, no heat-shrink in tight bays.

Popular Pairings
- Sealed Intake Kits — route sensors cleanly in your new boxes.
- Open Air Intake — quick custom routing sometimes extenders aren’t needed for these.
- ECU Tune — log MAP cleanly during install & shakedown.
