Description
The most developed and refined Low Side Fuel System has been made available by the engineers at Premier Tuning Group. Capable of well over 2,000HP on fuel and 1,600HP on E85, this system is also hands-down the most powerful system to be produced for the Mercedes car range of vehicles.
Although the factory fuel system utilizes many complex and well engineered components, Mercedes never expected their fuel systems to produce more than 700hp worth of fuel. The factory system has a supply line that is only 8mm in diameter and runs a single brushless fuel pump, while using an in-tank filter system.
The factory fuel pump is controlled via the Engine Control Unit (ECU) through a fuel pump control module that allows quick and consistent voltage variation. As a result the control of low side fuel pressure is quick and the ECU’s demands can easily be met. This system works extremely well and the team at PTG wanted to maintain ECU control of not only the factory pump but the additional PTG Pump. This meant developing a system in which the ECU communicates to twin fuel pump controllers that both work in conjunction to meet the demands of the ECU.
As mentioned, the factory 8mm diameter fuel supply line is a massive restriction and we have removed this and added a -8AN 13mm diameter fuel supply line and 10 micron fuel filter to allow a consistent fuel supply, even past 1,500HP.
How this differs from all the competition?
- Simply drilling the factory fuel hat was not part of the design philosophy. This can cause major fuel leaks and electrical shorts.
- Using a static 12 volt fuel pump that is activated via boost pressure was also not something that could have been a choice. This means huge jumps in fuel pressure against the ECU’s demand and tuners relying on the Lambda sensors to control the fuel throughput.
- The competition runs the stock fuel supply line. This becomes a major restriction and the attempt to combat this by increasing pressures completely past the bypass system can cause major issues.
- Use of poorly made materials causing reliability issues.
Truly Engineered to be the absolute best
The component range in this system is unlike any other in the market. We have spent countless hours developing the most comprehensive system that is truly plug-and-play. This system utilizes a billet anodized fuel hat, PTFE braided and shrouded lines, complex plug-and-play electrical harnesses, and so much more.
Easily compatible with our High Pressure System
For those that want to combine both our High and Low Side Fuel Systems, this is easily compatible and utilizes simple attachments to feed our impressive under-hood line and pump system.
