TunedMercedes is proud to introduce this sealed intake for the M157 and M278 engine.
These mercedes air intakes featured a low thermal conductivity gold tinted carbon fiber heat shield, however, this has been replaced with 3d printed boxes made and air intake tubes made with Polycarbonate in a heated printer, then later annealed for added strength. Then we add our new custom MAP extension cables and modified K&N filters.
These pieces are all carefully packed, with pre-shipment inspection, instructions, and shipped within a week of ordering.

These are either 3d printed with polycarbonate tested for automotive use or with vacuum molded carbon fiber with gold mica infusion for heat resistance at an additional charge of $1,000.
Our boxes weigh just a few pounds and the total kit reduces weight from the factory boxes while increasing filter area. Our kit also addresses the weak paper cold air intake tubes.
These air intakes have been reported by our customers to generate 50 additional hp. This happens by allowing the turbo to run more efficiently higher in the rpm range.
There is evidenced by the a warning of low vacuum at WOT P1CE700. This error only sets on wide open throttle and will reset after several drives of not hitting WOT. It will also not affect performance at all. A tune designed to work with air intakes is recommended but this code isn’t one that the engine isn’t performing but there is more air being let in than the calibration expects at WOT.
These are compatible with oem air inlets using a worm clamp but are even better with our own air inlets, VRP, BlackBoost, or Spool inlets.
