I was browsing MBworld looking for info on how to disconnect m177 oil solenoid, when I saw a thread about aftermarket air intakes and MAP sensors. Some people were asking if they were necessary since some aftermarket air intakes do not have them. Other people claimed they are not map sensors at all. At TunedMercedes we believe these are MAP sensors and we believe engines run better with them in place, even if the car throws a weird vacuum less than anticipated code which may be resolved without them.
All of our aftermarket air intakes made by TunedMercedes have provisions for MAP sensors.
