when the top cars do not run the “best” air intakes are they really the best? Can CFD show the effects of deformation of silicone in the rear world? Some people are claiming their silicone air intakes are the “best” but without numbers that clearly show they are different from excellent entries from blackboost, xstages, renntech, and ams and right now there aren’t as the fastest cars do not run them and the people with those cars didn’t want to try them for a reason, or maybe they have and it didn’t improve anything. Who knows but I’d argue to make an extradorinary claim you need extradorinary evidence to say you’re the best you need to show it or you look like an idiot.
The design of these so called best air intakes are convoluted at best seemingly borrowing from blackboost whereas for a system this expensive a front mounted air intake system with shorter non deforming pipes would be better. The fact that they are silicone and not a material like carbon also belies the claim of being the best.
