Downpipes

Description

Downpipes add approximately 30-50 horsepower and are necessary to support high horsepower and boost applications.  They are also preferred for motor sports and off road racing because they provide superior throttle response across the rev range.

TunedMercedes strongly recommends high-performance catalyst downpipes which provide all the benefits of downpipes with none of the downside.  These high-performance catalysts should be legal in 48-states please keep installation receipt, and you may need a high-performance exemption if your car has less than 40,000 miles.

Unfortunately we are unable to fully advise or guarantee that this is street legal in every single jurisdiction.  In general though high performance cats are easy to maintain, very tough, high flowing, provides greater throttle response and incredible sound.

In general off road racing cats are illegal everywhere on any street aside from some race course or offroad use.  We expect the products to be used in accordance with local laws and as in general for offroad use only.  However we do believe high performance cats would pass emissions in 48 states with the high performance exception or for cars with over 40,000 miles but cannot guarantee that in every location so we will also sell these for offroad use only as well.
